Owner Peter Stubbs spent 15 years as a private chef aboard the yachts of the extremely rich, famous and powerful in Europe and the Caribbean. For five years he was private chef in Mexico City to one of the world’s richest men, Alberto Bailleres. In 2004 he left the high life to grow vegetables and herbs in his home garden next door to his restaurant, where he produces a constantly changing menu using the best seasonal produce available from across Australia. Cinco is regarded by serious foodies and many fellow chefs as one of Brisbane’s best restaurants, despite its location 7 kilometres from the CBD in a suburb that is not generally regarded as a gourmet destination.
