Self-sufficient camping is found on the west coast of Kent Island, part of the North Barnard group. This site is ideal for anglers and wildlife watchers. There are 3 sites with a maximum of 5 people per site; bring all necessaries, including a gas/fuel stove. Be aware of marine stingers when swimming, particularly during Oct–May.

This campsite is located in Barnard Island Group National Park

The Barnard Island Group National Park is around 15 km offshore from Kurrimine Beach and about 90 km south of Cairns. The islands include Bresnahan, Hutchinson, Jessie, Kent and Lindquist (North Barnard group) and Sisters and Stephens (South Barnard group). Mainland access is from Mourilyan Harbour or Kurrimine Beach. Advance bookings are required to camp on Stephens Island.
