Barron Gorge National Park
Back to nature
Various walks are available in this World Heritage area of ravines, forest and waterfalls. If you move quietly, you are likely to see brush turkeys scratching among the leaves, and early in the day you might spot a musky rat kangaroo or cassowary. The Barron Falls Lookout is a popular destination, and you can also take tours of Barron Gorge Hydro-Power Station; (07) 4036 6955.
