Located some 6.5 kilometres from Mareeba and on a 240-hectare property not far from the Mareeba Tropical Savanna and Wetland Reserve, the homestead here has three bedrooms available, two with ensuites. Each room has its own access to a wide verandah with private table and chairs, overlooking the gardens. You can watch wallabies or possums and perhaps a bowerbird building its nest almost on your doorstep. There’s a shared lounge, and breakfast features organic home-grown food whenever possible. You can also arrange to rent the entire homestead. The owners speak English, German and some French.
