A 4WD is advisable for accessing these 6 bush campsites, 5 km along Davies Creek Rd from Davies Creek National Park. It is preferable to visit in the dry season (Apr–Oct). Bring your own water, rubbish bags, and a gas/fuel stove. The Kahlpahlim Rock walking trail follows a former logging trail through rainforest and leads to views over the Davies Creek catchment.

This campsite is located in Dinden National Park

About 20 km south-west of Cairns, Dinden National Park is on the Atherton Tableland, just south of Davies Creek National Park. The park’s eucalypt forests are threaded with excellent walking trails, including the Kahlpahlim Rock trail (12 km return, 6–7 hr) and Turtle Rock trail (8 km, 3–4 hr). Drive 22 km south of the Kennedy Hwy to the sites, preferably in a 4WD. Advance bookings are required for camping.
