This campground on the north-west side of High Island has space for 14 self-sufficient campers. Open fires and generators are not permitted, so bring a gas/fuel stove.

This campsite is located in Frankland Group National Park

About 45 km south of Cairns, this island group is known for its fringing reefs, rocky outcrops and varied wildlife. Access to the islands is by private boat from the Mulgrave and Russell rivers. Beware of the sandbar at the mouth of the Mulgrave River at Russell Heads. Advance bookings are required for camping.
