Campsite
One of Cape York’s iconic pubs, the Lions Den offers excellent riverside camping on its spacious property with plenty of shade and natural surrounds. Powered campsites have access to an amenities block, drinkable water, as well as washing machines and dryers. Unpowered sites are near cool swimming holes and semi-rainforest settings. The Lions Den is at Helenvale, 32 km south of Cooktown on the Bloomfield Track. Note: safari lodges and ‘donga’ demountable accommodation is also available.
