Almost like a theme park in scope, this awardwinning, 10-hectare living cultural centre showcases Tjapukai culture, with multiple ways to get involved. During the day there are didgeridoo demonstrations, dances, theatre productions, spear- and boomerang-throwing lessons and bushfood tours, as well as a museum, gallery and restaurant to visit. At night you can attend a food and cultural evening, with traditional dances, music and story telling. The park is at Smithfield, some 13 kilometres north of Cairns.
