This small spot on the banks of the South Johnstone River offers room for about 5 tents (camper trailers are accommodated in the nearby carpark). The main activities here are swimming and short walks, and it connects with the Misty Mountains Wilderness Walking Tracks. It is 12.3 km from Palmerston Hwy on K-Tree Rd, or 2.4 km from the western Gorrell track trailhead. Fires are prohibited: bring water and a gas/fuel stove.

This campsite is located in Misty Mountains Wilderness Walking Tracks

This 130 km network of walking tracks takes hikers through high-altitude tropical rainforests with crystal-clear creeks and stunning views. There are 4 main walking tracks (Koolmoon Creek, Cannabullen Creek, Cardwell Range and Gorrell) which wind their way through several national parks (Millstream Falls, Tully Falls, Tully Gorge and Wooroonooran) in a region roughly bounded by Tully, Innisfail, Mena Creek, Millaa Millaa and Ravenshoe. Advance bookings are required for camping.
