Western Summit Camp (walk-in camping)
Campsite
Reached only on foot, this campground is an 8 km walk from the Junction camp at the Atherton Tableland (west) end of the walking trail. The Bartle Frere summit is just 750 m from this camp. There are no facilities. The Mt Bartle Frere area is the spiritual home of the Noongyanbudda Ngadjon and the place where their spirits return to when they die.
