It isn’t an easy route, with river crossings to navigate and unstable road conditions, but driving to the tip of Cape York is one of Australia’s most sensationally scenic 4WD trips. You’ll find a number of bush campsites throughout the Cape, north from the Dulhunty River on Injinoo Community Council land. The best time to visit is June–Sept.
