Owned and operated by the same local family for generations, this popular old roadhouse – formerly a telegraph station dating back to 1887 – serves up food and fuel daily. The camping area is spacious and grassy and there is plenty of shade. The licensed kiosk provides basic food supplies, ice, fuel and souvenirs. Musgrave Roadhouse is 136 km north of Laura on the Peninsula Developmental Rd. The roads from Lakefield, Kowanyama and Pormpuraaw all meet at Musgrave.
