Quinkan Hotel, Laura

Camping is permitted on the grounds of this hotel in the remote township of Laura, about 140 km west of Cooktown. Hotel accommodation with air-conditioning and laundry facilities is also available on-site. Meals are available at the pub, open daily to midnight. The region’s biggest annual drawcard is the Laura Aboriginal Dance Festival, one of the nation’s largest Indigenous cultural events. The festival is staged in June and features dance, song, workshops and films.
