This campsite is located in Cania Gorge National Park

The spectacular cliffs, ancient caves and bright-coloured sandstone of Cania Gorge hold extraordinary historical and cultural significance. There is evidence that Aboriginal people have lived in the Cania Gorge area for tens of thousand of years, and freehand painting including images of animals and their tracks are still present today (not for public display). There are seven keys walking tracks in the park and a day-use area, but bush camping is not permitted. Access to the park is signposted at Cania Road from the Burnett Highway, 12 kilometres north of Monto.
