This large camping area has plenty of space for motorhomes and large groups looking for a shady spot near the lake, which is a seasonal refuge for waterbirds. You’ll need to bring firewood and drinking water. Access is via the main road into the park, near the picnic area. Note: this campsite can only be accessed by conventional vehicles during dry weather.

This campsite is located in Lake Murphy Conservation Park

Beneath Murphy’s Range in the central highlands, Lake Murphy fills only when nearby Robinson Creek overflows. It’s a peaceful, relaxing location – even when the lake is dry. The park is 13 km along Glenhaughton Rd, off the Leichhardt Hwy 18 km north of Taroom.
