Self-sufficient campers are welcome to camp in Alton National Park, but be aware that there are no facilities or amenities and that open fires are prohibited. Bring all self-sufficient gear, including drinking water, rubbish bags and a gas/fuel stove. There is no self-registration facility in the park, so acquire your permit before camping.

This campsite is located in Alton National Park

This undeveloped national park, approximately 100 km west of Moonie on the Moonie Hwy, protects 558 ha of brigalow-belah forest. It is remote and there are no facilities, so it is suited only to self-sufficient and experienced bush campers with 4WD vehicles.
