This campsite is located in Girraween National Park

Situated between Stanthorpe and Tenterfield (NSW), Girraween National Park lies in Qld’s Granite Belt and features pristine forests interspersed with towering granite outcrops. Picturesque creeks flow past teetering boulders, and there is an abundance of wildlife and wildflowers – Girraween is an Indigenous word meaning ‘place of flowers’. Only a few campsites, and markings on trees and rocks, remain as evidence of the Kambuwal people who once lived in this area. Girraween is signposted from Pyramids Rd off the New England Hwy, 11 km north of Wallangarra and 7 km south of Ballandean. Advance bookings are required for camping.
