This campsite on the Severn River offers no facilities and is suitable for self-sufficient campers only. Campers can swim, fish and canoe in the Severn, or take a walk up to the natural lookout at Rats Castle. It is 18 km into Sundown, accessible by 4WD only via Curr and Sundown rds from Ballandean. Bring your own drinking water and firewood or a gas/fuel cooker.

This campsite is located in Sundown National Park

South-west of Brisbane on the Qld–NSW border, Sundown National Park is known for its rugged gorge scenery around the Severn River and its wilderness trails for experienced walkers. The park is popular for swimming, fishing and canoeing, and there’s access for conventional vehicles signposted off Glenlyon Dam Rd. Advance bookings are required for camping.
