A minute walk from the water’s edge of Maroon Dam, Pointro is a mown site with plenty of clear spaces and a few gum trees if you prefer shade. The dam is popular for fishing and watersports. You’ll need to bring drinking water and stock up on supplies at the stores in Boonah or Rathdowney, but firewood can be obtained on-site. The campground is on Burnett Creek Rd, 28.5 km south of Boonah.
