On the edge of Mt Barney National Park, this very basic campsite with no facilities is suitable for self-sufficient campers and experienced bushwalkers. You’ll find it on Waterfall Creek Rd, 35 km south of Boonah and 28 km west of Rathdowney. Access is via Newmans Rd off the Boonah–Rathdowney Rd. Note: during wet weather the reserve can only be accessed by 4WD vehicles. Fires are only permitted in the fire rings provided; bring your own firewood. Advance bookings are required.

This campsite is located in

Mount May - along with Mounts Barney, Maroon and Lindesay - rises above the surrounding farmlands of Mount Barney National Park on the Queensland/New South Wales border. The mountains are the remains of the ancient Focal Peak Shield Volcano which erupted 24 million years ago.
