This seriously good hotel of international standard has 28 floors, with 300 rooms and 30 suites, yet its staff and location close to the beach keep it grounded in the relaxed atmosphere of a seaside holiday resort. The grounds are described by management as an ‘aquatic playground’, and include a hectare of lagoons with sandy edges and even an artificial coral reef for snorkelling and diving. All rooms have views, of either ocean, hinterland or river, and the restaurants include a Japanese steakhouse. Kids Club activities include fish feeding and cooking demonstrations in school holidays.
