Eagle Heights Brewery
Brewery
Located a few hundred metres from the more substantial MT Tamborine Brewery, this tiny brewery opened in October 2008. New Zealand–born mechanical engineer turned brewer Frank Safi operates the 5-hectolitre Chinese-manufactured plant, with Eagle Pilsner and Eagle IPA among the regular brews; seasonal brews to date have included an Irish red ale, a Russian imperial stout (10.6% abv) and Nineball Ale (9% abv), which spent a couple of months in a former rum barrel. The brewery is open weekends only, with hand-bottled beers available for sale; Eagle Heights beers were previously sold on tap through an adjacent restaurant, which is currently under new ownership.
