There are also self-contained air-conditioned units and standard rooms for 4–6 people. Crocodiles make the waterways dangerous for all activities except fishing, but you can cool off in the council-owned pool. The Western Gulf region of Qld has a mixture of sealed and maintained unsealed roads; check road conditions before heading off.
