The Australian Hotel
You can stay in one of the nine pub rooms at this iconic outback hotel, or choose one of the 13 motel-style units at the rear. Established in the mid-19th century, the hotel was a favourite watering hole for stockmen from the legendary Kidman stations around here. The founder of the Royal Flying Doctor Service, the Reverend John Flynn, was also known to call in for a cold libation at times. Meat tray raffles on Fridays are a big event.
