Set beside Nowranie Waterhole, about 14 km from the park entrance, the Caves Waterhole campground can be reached by conventional vehicle with difficulty – a 4WD is strongly recommended. Open fires and generators are prohibited. Bring all self-sufficient supplies, including rubbish bags, drinking water and a gas/fuel stove.

This campsite is located in Camooweal Caves National Park

The traditional country of the Indjilandji people, Camooweal Caves National Park lies about 180 km north-west of Mt Isa, 8 km south of Camooweal along Urandangi Rd. The caves, or sinkholes as they’re known, are not accessible to visitors and there are only 2 short walking tracks in the park. The park is dry-weather access only and a 4WD is recommended. Advance bookings are required for camping.
