For self-sufficient campers only, bush camping is permitted at various sites throughout the park. To get here from St George, travel 160 km south to Hebel on a sealed road then 45 km south to Goodooga (impassable after rain). From Goodooga, turn right into Brenda Rd then take the left fork after the cattle grid and follow the ‘Byra 7 km’ sign.

This campsite is located in Culgoa Floodplain National Park

Lying on the Qld–NSW border about 130 km south-west of Dirranbandi, this national park is known for its diverse woodlands, flood plains and stony ridges. Wildlife watchers can spot kangaroos, goannas and various bird species. Access to the park is via Goodooga in NSW.
