Opalton fields camping area
Campsite
The Opalton Field is one of the largest and most extensively worked opal deposits in Queensland. The camping area is about 110 km south of Jundah Rd; the turn-off is signposted 15 km south of Winton. Basic cabins are also available; you need to bring firewood and drinking water. Camping and fossicking permits are required.
