On the banks of the Barcoo River, this is a remote campground for experienced, self-sufficient campers. To get here, turn west off the Jundah–Quilpie Rd; the campground is about 10 km from the turn-off. Conventional vehicles can access this campsite in dry weather only, and 4WD is recommended at all times. Open fires are prohibited, so bring a gas/fuel stove and drinking water.

This campsite is located in Welford National Park

On the Barcoo River, Welford National Park protects 124 000 ha and can be accessed from either Jundah, Windorah, Blackall or Quilpie. Access roads are unsealed and a 4WD is recommended; the roads are impassable when wet. The park’s northern boundary is 30 km south-east of Jundah. Advance bookings are required for camping.
