Lady Musgrave Island camping area (boat-based camping)
Lady Musgrave has space for up to 40 campers at any one time from Easter school holidays until Australia Day in Jan (the campsite is closed between Feb and Mar each year). The campground has composting toilets, an information shelter and emergency radio. Lady Musgrave is the southernmost island in the national park, just south of the Tropic of Capricorn – a great spot for snorkellers. You need to bring drinking water and a gas/fuel stove.

This campsite is located in Capricornia Cays National Park
Part of the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage area, Capricornia Cays is a stunning group of coral cays, islands and reefs off the coast of Gladstone and Seventeen Seventy. The park protects several vegetated coral cays, including Lady Musgrave, North West, Masthead, Wilson, Heron, Erskine and Tryon islands. Commercial operators run daily services to Lady Musgrave Island, and provide charter boats to other islands. Advance bookings are required for all camping.
