This area offers secluded camping in a rainforest setting, ideal for tents but not for caravans or trailers, which are not permitted here. To reach it, go through Maleny and follow the signs to Kenilworth. You’ll pass through the small town of Conondale; the turn-off to Booloumba is about 13 km past Conondale. Bring your own firewood and treat or boil the water before drinking. Conventional vehicle access is only possible in dry weather; there is 4WD access at all times.

This campsite is located in Conondale National Park

The beautiful forests and gorges of Conondale National Park are reached by Booloumba Creek Rd, off Maleny–Kenilworth Rd 6 km south of Kenilworth. The park has waterfalls and lookouts, plus more than 120 bird species. Serious hikers will appreciate the challenge of the Conondale Range Great Walk, a 56 km hiking trail with 3 designated campsites, and its reward of stunning lookouts. Advance bookings are required for camping.
