As the name might suggest, Tallowwood camping area is located in a section of Conondale National Park dominated by the tallowwood. The camping area offers simple facilities for a maximum of 24 campers. Boil or treat the water provided before drinking and bring a gas/fuel stove, as fires are prohibited. Tallowwood is 15.2 km from Summer Falls camping area and 17 km from Wongai camping area.

This campsite is located in Conondale National Park

The beautiful forests and gorges of Conondale National Park are reached by Booloumba Creek Rd, off Maleny–Kenilworth Rd 6 km south of Kenilworth. The park has waterfalls and lookouts, plus more than 120 bird species. Serious hikers will appreciate the challenge of the Conondale Range Great Walk, a 56 km hiking trail with 3 designated campsites, and its reward of stunning lookouts. Advance bookings are required for camping.
