This campsite is located in Inskip Peninsula Recreation Area
Looking onto the southern tip of Fraser Island, north of Rainbow Beach, the peninsula is washed by the Pacific Ocean on its eastern side and by Tin Can Bay and Great Sandy Strait to the west. Fishing and birdwatching are popular pursuits. Inskip’s beaches are unpatrolled and sharks are common, so swimming is not recommended. Boaties should familiarise themselves with Great Sandy Marine Park’s zones and regulations before launching. Campsites must be booked in advance. Note: check road conditions for caravan access.
