Nine Mile Beach camping area (bush camping)
Nile Mile Beach is a top spot for fishing, but there are no facilities at this campground so you need to be totally self-sufficient. Accessible by 4WD or boat, it is 27 km east of Water Park Creek and about 6 km south of the Nine Mile Access Track. Small generators (65 dBA or quieter) are permitted between 8am and 7pm.

This campsite is located in Byfield National Park
Known for its massive sand dunes that stretch up to 6 km inland, Byfield National Park protects 15 000 ha of scenic and diverse landscapes. It is about 70 km north-east of Rockhampton and 43 km north of Yeppoon. Experienced bushwalkers have a range of signed trails to explore, and fishing enthusiasts can throw a line in at Nine Mile Beach, Water Park Point or at the end of Sandy Point Rd. Advance bookings are required for camping.
