Adjacent to Stony Creek, this campground is in a great location, close to swimming areas and bushwalking tracks. There are 18 numbered sites and some are suitable for vans and camper trailers. Automated barbecues are in the day-use area or you can use the built-in fireplaces (bring your own milled timber). The campground is 11 km from Byfield Rd, along a gravel road turn-off. Bring plenty of insect repellent and sunscreen, and treat or boil the water before drinking.

This campsite is located in Byfield State Forest

Go bushwalking through magnificent rainforests, view rare wildlife or have a relaxing picnic by the creek – Byfield State Forest offers a beautiful natural setting for a range of recreational activities. About 34 km north of Yeppoon, the forest has scenic easy-to-moderate walking tracks, some good spots for fishing, and excellent day-use areas. Note: swimming is not permitted in some areas, as estuarine crocodiles have been seen in Water Park Creek. Advance bookings are required for camping.
