The forest here still contains relics from goldmining exploration during the 1880s. Self-sufficient campers can use this site near Eungella Dam Rd. There are no facilities, so bring drinking water, rubbish bags and firewood or a gas/fuel stove.

This campsite is located in Crediton State Forest

Protecting stately rose gums and relics of gold mining from the 1880s, Crediton State Forest  possesses a quiet rural charm. The Mackay Highlands Great Walk passes through this forest. Crediton is 80 km west of Mackay and 8 km south of Eungella. Advance bookings are required for camping.
