Mungalla Aboriginal Tours

More than a decade ago, Mungalla Station was taken over by the Nywaigi Aboriginal Land Corporation, in order to help improve the economic and social position of the Nywaigi people. In a busy, guided day tour of the station, you can learn of the often brutal conflict between the Nywaigi and European settlers, view artefacts, throw a boomerang and a spear, tour the station, have a chat with Nywaigi locals and learn of how Aboriginal people who were held captive were forced to be part of a travelling circus in the Northern Hemisphere.

Forrest Beach Rd, Mungalla, 12 kilometres east of Ingham, (07) 4777 8718.
