Western Beach camping area
Campsite
Also known as The Spit campground, this site on the island’s west coast has a maximum capacity of 50 campers; the surface is sand and grass and there are some shady trees. Walkers can attempt the beach walk around the coastline of Goold Island, extending for 13 km (5 hrs), at low tide only. Note: generators are not permitted at the campground.
