Hinchinbrook Island Wilderness Lodge
Stay in this ecologically friendly resort in magical tree-top bungalows or in cabins on the beach. There’s plenty to do, with canoes, snorkels and masks and fishing equipment available to guests. Mealtimes are at set hours in the main dining room, but children can have an early dinner. The bar is open until midnight. If you decide to spend the day wandering at will, you can organise a picnic backpack for lunch. There are day cruises to various parts of this large island national park, and ferry transfers to the island depart from Cardwell on the mainland.
