There are no facilities at this campground, on the Thorsborne Trail between South Zoe Bay and Mulligan Falls, so be prepared to be self-sufficient. Sunken Reef Bay can also be accessed by sea kayak. Water from the nearby creek must be boiled or treated before drinking. The maximum stay is 2 nights.

This campsite is located in Hinchinbrook Island National Park

A tropical island with stunning postcard-perfect scenery, Hinchinbrook is Australia’s largest island national park. Off the north Qld coast, 8 km east of Cardwell, Hinchinbrook is home to sweeping sandy beaches, rainforests and rugged mountains, dugongs, green turtles and other marine life. For hikers, one of the main attractions is the 32 km (3–5 day) Thorsborne Trail on the island’s east coast. Advance bookings are required for camping.
