Neck Bay camping area (boat-based camping)
A good stopover for kayakers, this small campground on the north-west side of Shaw Island has space for about 12 campers. All visitors must be completely self-sufficient, as there are no facilities at the site; bring drinking water and a gas/fuel stove. Shaw Island is approximately 40 km south-east of Shute Harbour.
This campsite is located in Lindeman Islands National Park
With humpback whales and dolphins often spotted from the shore, Lindeman Island is a tropical paradise surrounded by waters with stunning marine life that is sure to make your stay memorable. Lindeman Islands National Park is within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and is accessible via boat from Shute Harbour or Laguna Quays. Advance bookings are required for camping.
