Carlisle Island

Campsite

Bush camping is permitted on Carlisle Island, part of Brampton Islands National Park off the coast of Mackay. A gas barbecue, toilets and picnic shelters are the only facilities so bring all self-sufficient supplies. The surrounding coral reefs provide excellent snorkelling but beware of marine stingers Oct–May.
