Goldsmith Island
Campsite
Camping is permitted on Goldsmith Island, part of the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area off the coast of Mackay. Toilets and picnic tables are the only facilities so you’ll need to bring all self-sufficient supplies. Bookings are essential in peak periods. The surrounding coral reefs provide excellent snorkelling but beware of marine stingers Oct–May.
