Reachable only by boat at mid-high tide, this campground on the west side of South Molle Island is connected to the rest of the island by a 11.5 km walking track system. One of South Molle’s most popular walks is the Spion Kop track, a 2 hr, 4.4 km return walk taking you through rainforest to spectacular lookouts. The clearing can hold a maximum of 36 self-sufficient campers; bring water and a gas/fuel stove. Generators are not permitted.

Lying 10 km from Airlie Beach off the Qld coast, Molle Islands National Park has superb walking tracks and circuits with beautiful views and lookouts, picturesque swimming spots and, best of all, excellent snorkelling, particularly off South Molle Island. Access is by private or commercial boat from Airlie Beach or Shute Harbour. Advance bookings are required for camping.
