This campsite is located in Smith Islands National Park

For a truly secluded mid-tropics experience, head to Smith Islands National Park, 45 km north of Mackay. This isolated group of 16 islands lies halfway between Mackay and the Lindeman Islands of the Whitsundays. The Smith Islands share many of the features of the Whitsundays, but without the hordes of tourists. Access to the islands is by boat only; the nearest boat ramp is in Seaforth. Advance bookings are required for camping.
