This campsite is located in Whitsunday Islands National Park

Protecting one of Qld’s most beautiful and popular holiday destinations, this national park features 32 islands, including Whitsunday Island and its famous Whitehaven Beach. Whitsunday Island has 2 excellent walking trails well worth exploring. The Tongue Point track (400 m, 15 min) leads to a beautiful view of Whitehaven Beach, and the Dugong Beach to Sawmill Beach track (1.5 km, 45 min) features gorgeous bay outlooks. Other protected islands include Hook Island, with its stunning coral reef just metres offshore from 2 campgrounds, and Black and Langford islands. Access to various islands is via Shute Harbour or Airlie Beach. If boating in the region, remember to go slow, report marine strandings, not collect coral or shells, and check for permissions before fishing. Advance bookings are required for camping.
