This campground in the south-west corner of the island has space for 12 totally self-sufficient campers. Access to the southern beach and Little Armit Island is prohibited Oct–Mar each year, for regeneration. Remember to go slow when boating, report marine strandings and not collect coral or shells.

This campsite is located in Gloucester Islands National Park

One of the most remote national parks in the Whitsunday region, the Gloucester Islands are east of Bowen and north of Airlie Beach. Camping is allowed at 3 of the islands – Gloucester, Saddleback and Armit. To get here, catch a commercial or private boat from Shute Harbour at Airlie Beach or Dingo Beach. Advance bookings are required for camping.
