1918 Bistro & Grill
This handsome old villa (c. 1918) has a relaxed and affable atmosphere with a sense of history – which also sums up the region’s spirit. In winter, 1918’s cosy rooms are warmed by log fires. Come the balmier months, you can linger outside in the shade of the verandah or garden. The menu is brief but tempting and surprisingly diverse. Many offerings are tweaked with Asian and Middle Eastern flavours, and along with a range of grilled meat dishes you might find a twice-baked cheese soufflé, an exotic pasta creation and even an up-market pizza or two.
