Vale Inn Taphouse & Kitchen
Dating from 1851, this quaint cottage is a seasoned veteran in the Fleurieu dining scene. As well as its own three-roomed wine cellar downstairs, the inn now also hosts the tasting rooms for Dowie Doole and Gemtree Vineyards, so going thirsty is not a risk. The key to this establishment’s loyal following has always been its relaxed setting and creative kitchen flair. Expect to see local peninsula produce – things like Encounter Bay garfish, Normanville lamb, wild rabbit and Coorong cockles – treated with ingenuity and often a French twist.
