From the outside this looks like your archetypal 19th-century county pub. However, behind the bluestone and red-and-cream striped verandah roof there’s an ingenious renovated bistro area with heritage barn decor and a glass wall opening onto a lush atrium garden and water feature. There’s innovative thinking with the menu too. Pub food mingles with dishes like a baked barramundi fillet wrapped in prosciutto and served with salsa verde, and a layered chicken and roasted vegetable stack capped with haloumi cheese.
