This creative and quirky country cafe has a tin cow out the front, and rustic artworks and local produce to the fore. Lunch embraces everything from soup and focaccias to a smoked salmon röesti and a mighty open chicken burger with salad, bacon, avocado and mayonnaise. The house-made chicken, bacon and leek pies are also a specialty. There’s a fantastic range of coffees and milk drinks – as you might expect in a dairy district. On Friday and Saturday nights the menu extends to include wood-fired pizza.
